Realty ONE Group Gives Agents the Choice to Operate Without NAR Affiliation

NAR Affiliation

Realty ONE Group International is shaking up the real estate industry in Phoenix, Arizona. Starting January 1, 2025, real estate professionals affiliated with Realty ONE Group’s eight metro locations will have the choice to remain with the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) or to operate independently.

This innovative program offers agents the flexibility to disassociate from NAR Affiliation and join Realty ONE Group AZ, a newly established subsidiary of Realty ONE Group, Inc. For those who choose this path, Realty ONE Group will continue to provide the tech, tools, and benefits agents rely on, along with options like MLS Choice—a membership type from Phoenix REALTORS® that doesn’t require NAR Affiliation.

Kuba Jewgieniew, CEO and Founder of Realty ONE Group International, emphasized the company’s commitment to empowering agents, saying, “Choice and opportunity will always be number ONE for us because the real estate professional is the center of their business, and the center of ours.” This statement highlights Realty ONE Group’s focus on providing agents with alternatives to NAR Affiliation.

Pat Kelly, President of Brokerage Operations for Realty ONE Group, added, “We want our agents to have a choice and know they always have a home with us whether or not they choose to maintain their NAR Affiliation.” By giving agents control over their NAR Affiliation, Realty ONE Group aims to set a new industry standard.

This bold initiative comes as Realty ONE Group celebrates being named the No. 1 real estate franchisor for the third consecutive year on Entrepreneur’s 2024 Franchise 500® list. With over 20,000 professionals in 450 locations worldwide, Realty ONE Group continues to lead with innovation and a commitment to its mantra: “EveryONE matters and everyONE has a voice.”

By redefining industry standards, Realty ONE Group offers real estate professionals a unique opportunity to evaluate the benefits of their NAR Affiliation. With Realty ONE Group AZ providing robust resources and tools, agents now have the freedom to explore a business model that better aligns with their goals.

Realty ONE Group understands that NAR Affiliation has traditionally been a cornerstone of many real estate professionals’ careers. However, the company recognizes that some agents may prefer to operate without the obligations tied to NAR Affiliation. This program ensures that every agent has the flexibility to make the choice that best suits their needs regarding NAR Affiliation.

Whether agents choose to maintain their NAR Affiliation or explore the independent path offered by Realty ONE Group AZ, they can count on the unwavering support of Realty ONE Group. The company’s innovative approach provides agents with tools and benefits, ensuring that their success is not tied exclusively to NAR Affiliation.

By prioritizing choice, Realty ONE Group is empowering agents to decide for themselves whether NAR Affiliation is essential to their business model or if they can thrive under the Realty ONE Group AZ framework.

Story 2:EasyKnock Abruptly Shuts Down Amid Legal and Consumer Pressures

Residential sale-leaseback platform EasyKnock has closed its doors following multiple legal challenges and consumer complaints. The company’s website states, ‘We are deeply grateful for the trust placed in us to be part of the financial journey of so many.’

Founded in 2016, EasyKnock raised significant venture capital, including a $28 million Series D funding round earlier this year. However, its business model, which allowed homeowners to sell properties and remain as renters, came under fire.

In December 2023, Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell announced a settlement over deceptive practices that allegedly stripped homeowners of equity. This was followed by lawsuits and regulatory actions across several states, including Texas, Maryland, and Michigan.

Despite its rapid growth and acquisitions, EasyKnock’s legal troubles have brought its operations to an abrupt halt. The company claims it has made arrangements to ensure continued service for its customers.
