CAR Award $1 Million in Housing Grants for Wildfire Victims

In response to the devastating wildfires that struck Southern California last month, the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.) is awarding $1 million in housing assistance grants to victims of the disaster. Thanks to a generous donation from the REALTORS® Relief Foundation, the program offers up to $1,000 per household for housing-related financial assistance. This includes support for mortgage relief, rental payments, and temporary housing costs like hotel stays for those displaced from their homes.

C.A.R. President Heather Ozur emphasized the importance of helping the community recover, stating, “As residents begin the long process of starting over, the REALTOR® community is glad to be able to provide some immediate support.”

A prime vacant lot on Palm Beach’s exclusive “Billionaire’s Row” has hit the market for an eye-popping $200 million. The 2-acre parcel, located at 1980 South Ocean Boulevard, offers direct oceanfront and Intracoastal frontage, making it a rare find. Update in the Abduction of Alabama Realtor® Ronald Dumas Jr.

Following up on a story we reported earlier, The mystery surrounding Huntsville realtor Ronald Dumas, Jr.’s disappearance deepened this week after Alabama police classified it as an abduction. Dumas, who was last seen on December 15, 2024, in Memphis, has been missing for nearly two months. His family has long suspected foul play, and recent developments have confirmed their fears.

Huntsville police are now working with the U.S. Marshals, FBI, and Memphis police to investigate the case. This week, a multi-agency team searched a 450-acre area near Memphis and northern Mississippi for Dumas.

New evidence led authorities to connect two women, Kierra Symone Clark and Carissa Cash, to Dumas’s disappearance, with warrants issued for their arrest. Clark is wanted for conspiracy to commit kidnapping, and Cash faces charges for receiving stolen property. Four additional individuals, including Quintarius White and Toure McLaurin, are wanted for first-degree kidnapping.

Dumas’s family has offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to his whereabouts. Police urge anyone with information to contact Investigator Stephen Gibbs at 256-427-5448.
