My Story: My life has been a series of big, brave moves. Ask what lessons those moves taught me, and I’ll tell you that moving is scary, people are wonderful, and you should never make assumptions. I was born in Japan, and moved to Seattle at age 16. I was educated in business at the University of Puget Sound, and spent nine years in international trade and transportation with Sea-Land Services, where I learned I had a mind for logistics and negotiation. A life re-evaluation led me to Real Estate, where I have served the metro Seattle community for over 30 years. People have said I have a wealth of knowledge, thoughtfulness, and ‘get it done’ approach. I am dedicated to mentoring others in the industry, and have been regarded as the ‘heart and sage of the office,’ because of my passion for training newer agents and colleagues. I also serve as Chairperson for the Windermere in city standards committee. Nearly all of my real estate business comes from past clients or those referred to me. I like to joke that my business plan may look like I’m going to war, but when you hand your challenges to me, you can rest assured they’ll be faced head-on. I am passionate about using my business to fuel the non-profit, YouthCare, which assists homeless youth in Seattle. I have raised over $250,000 in support, and am far from done. If I see you, be prepared, I may ask for a donation! I’m proud to have been awarded Seattle Magazine’s Five Star Award for 18 years running, but my proudest achievement is being called “kind, generous, and gets stuff done” by my clients.
